Google's Big Daddy updates, as well as many of the future algorithm updates, will affect webmasters and the web hosting industry.
The Kind Of Web Sites That Will Benefit From Big Daddy
It is generally agreed that it is still too early to be able to tell conclusively what the full effects of Google's Big Daddy updates will be on the industry.
However there are some clear patterns that have began to emerge about what sort of web sites are going to be favored by the new search engine order of things.
To start with it is crystal clear that for sites with plenty of quality, original content, things will only get better and better, even as other sites cry foul and see their rating plummet at high speed. Content has always been king but the Big Daddy updates, it seems will underline and emphasize this fact even more.
Secondly sites that were fond of acquiring cheap links from every other possible source of links out there have already taken a major hit, but it seems that the worst is still to come. The Big Daddy update seems to emphasize on relevant links. It seems that quality will be so much more important than quantity which has always ruled in the past.
In other words sites that stick to the acceptable ways of accumulating links, which is the natural way will really get to shine in search engines. The natural way is where another webmaster likes your content and links to it in reference to theirs. Link baiting posts at blogs will now become even more valuable. Link baiting is the act of creating a useful reference on your website which will encourage others to link to your site. Link baiting content is usually interactive. Link-baiting posts, on the other hand, is a technique perfected by bloggers. They will post often controversial comments that tend to rapidly attract links from other bloggers either strongly agreeing or disagreeing with the sentiments expressed. The really amazing thing about link-baiting posts is the rapid rate with which they tend to accumulate links. A typical link-baiting post can attract hundreds of links in a few short hours. Keep in mind, this is not the same thing as "comment spam". Link baiting posts are posts left at blogs, but the difference is that these blogs have given the writers prior permission to leave a link in the comment.
Yet another method of obtaining links that is acceptable is that of posting your best content at leading article directories where other webmasters can easily pick it up and re-post it all over the World Wide Web. As your article is re-posted it will still have your links in the resource box at the bottom intact and they will all be pointing to your site.
